FINE DSP - Loudspeaker DSP Design and Optimzation Software

FINE DSP is professional loudspeaker DSP software used to design, optimise, and tune loudspeaker system performance. Engineers can apply filtering, equalisation, crossover design, and acoustic phase optimisation to refine system behaviour in professional loudspeaker applications. Developed from the proven FINE X-over platform, FINE DSP delivers precise loudspeaker system optimisation for OEMs, R&D teams, and professional audio engineers.

Loudspeaker DSP design and system optimization

FINE DSP includes a full range of filters such as Parametric EQ, Bandpass, and Shelving filters, all with adjustable Q and slope. The software supports advanced crossover design, EQ optimisation, controlled bass shaping, design controled bass boost,  high-order crossover alignment.

Delay adjustments can be made via mouse wheel or clicks, enabling engineers to precisely refine loudspeaker system response for target performance, quickly, and easily.

Real-time EQ optimization and system control.

The software enables optimization of on-axis and up to six off-axis responses with real-time acoustic phase control. This allows engineers to evaluate and adjust loudspeaker system behaviour across multiple listening positions, ensuring consistent performance in real-world environments.

Power handling and Safe Operating Area (SOA)

FINE DSP calculates power and excursion limits in real time, defining the Safe Operating Area (SOA) for loudspeaker drivers. It continuously monitors both digital and analogue signal levels to help prevent overload, distortion, and thermal stress during system development and optimzation.

Hybrid crossover and DSP system integration

FINE DSP supports hybrid system design by combining passive crossover networks with digital signal processing and EQ optimisation. This enables engineers to reduce system complexity, improve performance, and optimise amplifier usage in professional loudspeaker designs.

Integration with loudspeaker measurement and design workflow

Using drag and drop, measurements can be imported directly from FINE R+D or from systems like CLIO, Klippel, Soundcheck, REW, etc.

FINE DSP integrates seamlessly with FINE X-Over and FINEBox PRO supporting a complete loudspeaker engineering workflow from measurement and system design through to final DSP optimisation.

Trusted by professional loudspeaker engineers worldwide

Frequently Asked Questions – FINE DSP

What is FINE DSP used for?
FINE DSP is professional loudspeaker DSP software used for loudspeaker system design, EQ optimisation, crossover design, and system-level acoustic optimisation. It is used by OEM engineers and professional audio designers to refine loudspeaker performance with precision.

Is FINE DSP a simulation tool?
FINE DSP is not a traditional simulation tool. It is a real-time loudspeaker DSP optimisation and design platform used for filtering, equalisation, crossover development, and system optimisation based on measured or imported acoustic data.

Can I import measurements into FINE DSP?
Yes. FINE DSP supports importing measurements from FINE R+D as well as third-party systems such as CLIO, Klippel, SoundCheck, and REW. This allows engineers to use real measurement data for accurate EQ and crossover optimisation.

What type of filtering does FINE DSP support?
FINE DSP includes Parametric EQ, Bandpass, and Shelving filters with adjustable Q and slope. It also supports high-order crossover design, phase alignment, and system-level EQ optimisation for loudspeaker development.

Does FINE DSP support crossover design?
Yes. FINE DSP supports advanced crossover design and optimisation, including hybrid systems that combine passive crossovers with digital EQ. This enables engineers to optimise performance and reduce system complexity.

Can FINE DSP be used for real-time loudspeaker optimisation?
Yes. FINE DSP allows real-time optimisation of on-axis and multiple off-axis responses, enabling engineers to adjust EQ, phase, and system response interactively during development and tuning.

Who uses FINE DSP?
FINE DSP is used by professional loudspeaker manufacturers, OEM engineering teams, and high-end audio companies worldwide for loudspeaker system design, EQ optimisation, and acoustic performance development.
