LOUDSOFT’s Automotive Loudspeaker Design Software is purpose-built to help automotive sound engineers design, simulate, and optimize loudspeaker performance within the unique acoustic environment of a vehicle. These tools are engineered to deliver accurate, real-time results that help you bring better in-car audio systems to market—faster.

The Car Mode in FINEBox PRO/Automotive models the specific acoustics of automotive cabins. It includes cabin gain calculations for closed-box systems and both internal and external bass reflex ports. Even a small closed-box speaker can achieve powerful low-frequency extension thanks to the car cabin’s natural gain—accurately simulated in real time.

When using an external bass reflex port, the port is acoustically coupled to the outside of the car. This method leverages the cabin gain effect, allowing you to use smaller enclosures while still delivering impressive bass response inside the vehicle.

With FINE DSP, engineers can import measurements directly from FINE R+D or any other system, then fine-tune both on-axis and up to six off-axis responses. Real-time acoustic phase optimization makes it ideal for tuning the output of midrange drivers and tweeters for specific seating positions.

LOUDSOFT’s software is created by loudspeaker engineers who understand the specific needs of automotive sound system design. The tools are:

  • Highly accurate, with advanced simulation and measurement precision

  • Fast, delivering trusted results in seconds

  • Easy to use, with no steep learning curve or additional training required

This specificity saves you time, reduces development costs, and enables you to refine your designs quickly—getting high-performance in-car sound systems to market faster than your competitors.

Non-Lin Hi Power Automotive Loudspeaker Box Design Software:

  • Direct simulation of Voice Coil Temperature and Compression at High Power without other input;
  • Closed Box, Reflex, ABR, Band-pass and Inter-Port alignments;
  • All Non-Linear T/S parameters + Thermal data can be imported directly from FINEMotor;
  • Multiple drivers and Ports/ABR’s;
  • Find ideal driver TS parameters in a given box volume, or for a given F3 frequency (-3dB point);
  • Estimate the Voice Coil temperature and Thermal Compression from TS and outer dimensions without FINEMotor (fm3) files.

Around the world, leading companies such as Ford Motor CompanyBOSE, and sound specialists such as Kicker, Rockford,  PSB Speakers, QSC Audio and Sonavox use FINEBox to refine their Hi-Fi, PA, Car Speakers, Headphones and Micro Loudspeaker projects.

Digital Automotive Loudspeaker X-over Software.

Intuitive Loudspeaker DSP Software – developed from FINE X-over.

  • Drag measurements directly from FINE R+D or CLIO, Klippel, Soundcheck, REW (or any other system);
  • Optimize on-axis and up to 6 off-axis responses with acoustical phase in real time
  • Offers Parametric EQ, Bandpass, Shelving filters, all with adjustable Q and slope, high order crossovers and delays by mouse wheel or clicks.
  • Actual Power / Excursion limits instantly as the new SOA (Safe Operating Area) for loudspeaker drivers.
  • Digital and analog levels are calculated to prevent overload both for Analog and Digital levels.
  • Allows a simulation of hybrid crossovers, containing both a passive X-over circuit as well as Digital EQ by DSP.
  • Extremely useful for keeping costs down when using just one amplifier.

The FINE DSP is used by many of world leading speaker companies around the world, including AmazonBarefoot SoundRSL SpeakersFlexworksSoundhub and Paramax, to name but a few!

Frequently Asked Questions About Automotive Loudspeaker Design Software

What is Automotive Loudspeaker Design Software?
Automotive Loudspeaker Design Software refers to specialized tools used by engineers to simulate, measure, and optimize loudspeaker systems within the acoustic environment of a vehicle. LOUDSOFT’s software is purpose-built to deliver fast, accurate, and easy-to-use solutions for this specific application.

How does cabin gain simulation work in LOUDSOFT’s software?
The Car Mode in FINEBox PRO/Automotive includes built-in cabin gain calculations. This allows engineers to accurately simulate low-frequency performance in closed and bass reflex enclosures within the unique acoustic properties of a vehicle cabin—without needing physical prototypes.

Can LOUDSOFT software simulate external bass reflex ports?
Yes. FINEBox PRO/Automotive allows for simulation of bass reflex ports that are acoustically coupled to the outside of the car. This helps engineers design compact enclosures while maintaining deep bass response inside the vehicle.

Is the software compatible with other measurement systems?
Yes. FINE DSP can import measurement data from LOUDSOFT’s FINE R+D system as well as third-party tools. This flexibility allows engineers to optimize both on-axis and off-axis responses in real time, including phase alignment for specific seating positions.

Who should use Automotive Loudspeaker Design Software?
This software is ideal for automotive audio engineers, acoustic consultants, and OEM sound system designers looking to improve in-car audio quality while reducing time-to-market.

Is LOUDSOFT software easy to learn and use?
Yes. Unlike many generic tools, LOUDSOFT’s Automotive Loudspeaker Design Software is intuitive and built specifically for speaker engineers. Most users can get started with minimal training, thanks to its streamlined workflows and application-specific features.

What types of companies use LOUDSOFT software for automotive sound design?
Our users include premium automotive brands, consumer electronics companies, and specialized audio firms. The software is trusted globally for its reliability, speed, and accuracy in automotive loudspeaker development.
